It's Not LoveWhen was love supposed to make you cry?
I look to the heavens and ask them why.
But they don't whisper a single phrase
And I'm left wandering in a daze.
I thought it was love, but it couldn't be
Because there is just too much hurt inside of me.
When was love supposed to hurt so much?
Wasn't it all about yearning for their touch?
Instead I fear of what you might say
I think about the possibilities every day.
I just get this feeling that it will come crashing to an end
It's a feeling that seems to grow stronger when I see you again.
Is it just me or is the distance growing between us
Getting larger without the safety of our trust?

Love.Eyes close.
Knees go weak.
Stomachs flip.
Lips quiver as they touch.

Hands intertwine.
Names are gasped.
Hair is tugged.
Clothes discarded.

Love.

In Love

The love inside my heart grows each day,
It flourishes and blossoms,
Nothing could ever change this,
you are my one true match.

At night I dream of you,
I dream of us together,
Holding eachother close,
Kissing you all over.

I count the days till we are together,
My heart smiles with each passing day,
I know each day I'm closer to you,
My excitement is barely contained.

I know the second I see you,
I will run to you and pounce you,
Attack you with endless kisses,
Never leaving your embrace.

I smile each time I think of you,

Silly MistakeI reached up and grabbed the brightest star,
I could not resist because there was something about its charm--
that reminded me of you.

I placed it in my pocket and it kept me warm,
and when the sky got dark, it brought light to the storm--
reminding me of you.

I set it on my nightstand when it was time to sleep,
closed my eyes, feeling safe, because it was watching over me--
which reminds me of you.

The one who was always there
when I was alone and feeling scared.
Your arms around me,
a smile on your face,
which told me I always held a place
in your heart and soul.

I reached up and grabbed the brightest star,
thinking if

infected.throbbing beneath my lips,
sweat dripping down my fingertips,
breath cool against heated skin,
a refreshing shudder
a growing desire...

can I be blamed
for wanting to spend eternity with my love?

My body hungers
without the hormones
to say I am satisfied.

I keep needing.

The sky is a painting
and the sunset looks so inviting.
The orange, the pink, the color
is mesmerizing after so much dark.

I can take only so much
until just your touch
becomes the match
that sets the whole forest on fire.

Love can be kind, but it can be cruel
It can mess with your mind
And make you feel like a fool.
It can break your heart
And make you cry.
And there will be times
You want to die.

Love can make you do some crazy things
One moment you’ll find yourself
Standing out on a limb.
Losing your balance
Only to find
No one is around to catch you
As you fall from behind.

Love can be evil. Love can be wrong
Love is not always simple
But it’s always strong.
How it controls you
Is a question indeed
Because there are times I feel like
I will never be free.

Love can be prison. Love can be blind
How it messes you up
And takes over your mind.
Until you can’t think of anyone else
It’s their smile you see
Their happiness you feel
How it drives you crazy
How you wish it wasn’t real.

Love can be silly. Love can be cute
It can make you giggle
Sound like a flute.
Melodious and peaceful
As it dances on your heart
Makes you giddy
Right from the start.

Love can be everything or nothing at all
It can be a slow smile
An invitation to a ball.
The happiness you feel
Or the sadness it caused
Love may be fair
Or it may be lost.

Love can be somewhere in a moment so quick
Just a blink of the eye
